Health Development

In Africa, most rural populations do not have access to quality health care and services. The situation remains the same in public hospitals everywhere in the country. Rural population travel an approximate distance of 25kms or more just to have medical attention, while those visiting public hospitals complain about poor approach by medical personnel. I.A.A strive to overcome these health disparities by training community health workers, building the capacities of hospital personnel, refurbishing and constructing community health facilities and offering nursing scholarship to rural youths especially those coming from poor families.

Health Education

Through community outreach, I.A.A carries out health sensitization campaign regularly with focus on tropical diseases, non-communicable diseases and on sexual and reproductive health and rights of young people. I.A.A raises awareness on HIV/AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis prevention. Conduct HIV testing and facilitate access to antiretroviral drugs for HIV victims and reduce stigmatization and trauma within their communities. I.A.A increases access to sexual and reproductive health information and services/products amongst young people
